Jack Krajekian, DMD

"It's a great privilege for me to be able to take care of patients."

Dr. Krajekian is one of the longest-standing partners at Greater Charlotte Oral & Facial Surgery, and as such, he has dedicated much of his time to perfecting the practice and the standard for patient care. Growing up, Dr. Krajekian always knew he wanted to pursue a career in the healthcare field. During dental school, he was attracted to the idea of oral surgery because it was stimulating, and it allowed him to make a significant difference in patients’ lives. He found it extremely rewarding to be able to enhance patients’ quality of life, whether it was through the elimination of pain or the administration of a cosmetic procedure.

As long as Dr. Krajekian has worked at the practice, his goal has been to create a friendly and compassionate environment for patients to receive high-quality care. He has personally taken the time to train and educate his staff to ensure they are performing to the highest standard. His commitment to the practice, the community, and his patients keeps him among the leading practitioners in North America.

Education and Residency

During his time at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Krajekian earned an exemplary education, which inspired him to stay in Boston for his oral and maxillofacial surgical residency. Throughout his residency, he trained in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, from wisdom teeth removal and dental implant placement to orthognathic and cosmetic surgery. He also gained experience in the safe administration of all forms of anesthesia.

Certification(s)

Upon completing his education, Dr. Krajekian chose to take his training a step further by pursuing board certification in both oral surgery and anesthesia. Earning the board-certified status from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery has extensive requirements. Surgeons must complete a written exam, as well as four oral exams, to demonstrate their superior judgment in surgical situations and to prove their exemplary knowledge of the specialty. In addition, board-certified surgeons must continue their education and maintain the highest standards of care to recertify every 10 years. Being board-certified in both oral surgery and anesthesia means Dr. Krajekian can provide you with world-class, full-scope care. This drive also led Dr. Krajekian to undergo rigorous exams to become a Board Examiner for the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Interests

In addition to his passion for cosmetics and jaw reconstruction, Dr. Krajekian enjoys a number of hobbies outside of work. He has a pilot’s license and loves flying planes. He also enjoys going outdoors and spending time in nature, whether he’s fishing, hunting, or even scuba diving.
